The San Sebastian International Film Festival was established in 1953. Over 70 years it has been the reflection and an active player in major cinematographic, political, and social transformations. The Zinemaldia 70: All Possible Histories project, sponsored by the Festival and EQZE, has carried out research into the archive to cast light on lesser-known aspects of its history.
The holdings of the San Sebastian International Film Festival Archive date from 1953 to the present day. All the digital collections are available in open access and include 2,663 photographs from the Festival and Kutxa Fundazioa collections, 711 journals and 366 posters, as well as a new document every month.
